Pakistan now has more than 121 million 3G/4G users.

According to data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan increased by 0.65 million from 120.89 million at the end of November 2022 to 121.54 million at the end of December.

By the end of December, the monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration had increased to 54.43 percent, up from 54.15 percent at the end of November.

By the end of December, Jazz's total number of 3G users had decreased by 0.135 million, from 5.054 million at the end of November to 4.919 million at the end of December. By the end of December, there were 41.149 million Jazz 4G users, up from 40.858 million at the end of November.

By November, the number of Zong 3G customers had decreased to 2.720 million, while the number of Zong 4G customers had increased to 31.353 million by the end of December.

By November, Telenor's 3G customers had dropped to 3.045 million, while Telenor's 4G customers had increased from 22.484 million to 22.560 million by the end of December.

By the end of December, there were 2.917 million Ufone 3G customers, up from 2.977 million at the end of November. Ufone's 4G user base grew by 0.267 million during the time under review, going from 11.165 million at the end of November to 11.432 million at the end of December.

By the end of December, there were 192.78 million mobile phone users in Pakistan, down from 193.55 million at the end of November. According to PTA's monthly data, cellular mobile teledensity decreased from 86.7% at the end of November to 86.3% at the end of December. By December, the total teledensity had dropped from 87.9 percent to 87.51 percent.

In comparison to November, the number of cellular subscribers, broadband penetration, mobile teledensity, and total teledensity all continued to decrease month-over-month in December 2022. Additionally, broadband penetration decreased from 56% in November 2022 to 55.71% in December 2022.
